CALANGUTE: Calangute Police on Monday cracked the murder case of 46-year-old Shimla native Santosh Gautam who was found dead at Calangute bus stop on Saturday night.

The police said the alleged accused Gopal Singh a native of Uttarakhand was arrested at Anjuna with the help of Anjuna Police.
The accused during interrogation confessed that he had stabbed the victim with knife on Saturday at around 8.15 pm causing severe injuries resulting in the victim’s death.
However he did not reveal the reason behind committing the crime.
The police have placed the accused under arrest under Section 302 IPC. The police is investigating further.
