PANJIM: Stating that the state’s total monthly expenditure on social schemes was Rs 50 crore Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar gave details of his two flagship schemes.
He also defended himself against allegations by independent and Opposition MLAs by saying that they too had recommended the schemes.
According to him the Laadli Laxmi Scheme forms had been taken by MLAs is as follows: Vijai Sardessai ~ 353; Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco ~ 96, Atanasio Monserrate ~ 112; Francisco Sardinha ~17; Ms Jennifer Monserrate ~ 24, Mauvin Godinho ~ 28; Pandurang Madkaikar ~ 44, Pratapsing Rane ~ 30 and Vishwajit Rane ~ 28. Total 600. But BJP MLAs have cornered around 5000 forms compared to the Opposition’s 600. Total forms completed ~ 7768; verified ~ 7352; referred to committee ~ 3129; incomplete ~ 1740 and rejected 137. Regarding Griha Aadhar, he said that out of a total of 54,065 forms; 6106 were found incomplete; rejected ~ 215; kept for detailed scrutiny ~ 39; sanctioned ~ 43,437.
