CUNCOLIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday said the Health Department will soon set up an emergency healthcare centre in Cuncolim to cater to the healthcare needs of the town residents.
During his visit to Cuncolim, the Chief Minister inspected the proposed healthcare centre building along with the BJP councillors and party mandal president. The Chief Minister said the rural medical hospital would be shifted to the same building.

He said, “The government has approved the proposal for a new fire station, which will be housed in the Cuncolim power substation building.”
It is pertinent to note that the demand for a fire station in Cuncolim has been pending on for the last several years. The Chief Minister said, “The work on the proposed Cuncolim highway bypass will commence once the land issue is resolved.”
Local MLA Clafasio Dias appreciated the Chief Minster’s cooperation in the development of the constituency. Dias said, “The planned developmental works in the constituency will receive a boost in future.”
