A complaint was filed with the Panjim police against three unknown females for shoplifting. Though the trio – two young women and one older female –were captured on CCTV, they managed to give the show owners and saleswoman the slip.
CCTV footage shows the two women deliberately distracting the salesperson and keeping her occupied while the third stuffed some clothing items under the pant at a readymade garment shop.
According to the complainant, the three females, entered the shop at around 6.35 pm Tuesday and were seen trying on and checking garments and then stuffing them under their clothes. However, the whole robbery has been captured on CCTV.
Surprisingly, though they looked like normal shoppers, they are quite blatant and have shown dexterity in pushing items into their pants etc right in front of the saleswoman.However, according to the owner, in their hurry they forgot the keys of a motorbike and came back for it. But by then the owners were aware about what happened and tried to get a hold of one of them. However, she managed to give them the slip. The owners have offered a reward to anyone who gives them information about the notorious trio.
