Ganesh elected Fatorpa sarpanch
MARGAO: Ganesh Desai is the new sarpanch of Fatorpa. In the elections held on Monday, Ganesh defeated Milagrina Fernandes by 4-3 votes.
Soon after his election, Ganesh thanked the Panch members for their support and disclosed plans to take various government schemes to the people.
He said all the four ruling Panchayat members have resolved to work for the betterment of the village and the people. “The Panchayat meeting will soon be convened to chalk out the development work to be undertaken in the village. Stress would be laid on the implementation of RDA and BPL schemes for the benefit of the downtrodden”, he added.
