PANJIM: The Goa Football Association begin their GFA Third Division Salcete Zone Group A league campaign on September 5 as Dando Boys Club, Benaulim will clash with United Club of Benaulim at Benaulim ground.
“The GFA Leagues begin from tomorrow and we wish all the teams good luck in their campaign. The Third Division and U-14 League will kick off now and the rest leagues will follow,” said GFA General Secretary Welvin Menezes.
The Group A consist of Dando Boys Club, Benaulim, St Rock Youth Club Calata Majorda, United Club of Benaulim, United Club of Orlim, St Anthony’s Club Colva, United Boys of Dando Colva and United Club of Seraulim.
“We had a brilliant last season and we hope to have even a better season this year,” added Menezes.
Meanwhile the GFA U-14 League Bardez Zone Group C League also kicks-off from Wednesday as Penha de Franca lock horns with St Anthony SC, Marna at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.
Quitula Sports Club, Siddeshwar Sports and Cultural Club, St Christopher Sports Club, Tivim, Sesa Football Academy, Youth Sports Club of Colvale are the other teams vying to progress from the group.
The teams will play league cum knock out phases.
