The Fatorda Police today arrested of accused Arjun Maruti Kajidoni who was involved in alleged murdering two youth at Madel Fatorda at midnight
Arjun Kajidoni aged 30, a driver and a resident of Madel murdered Ravi, aged 20 years, a labourer and Bhim, age-30 year old rag picker in front of Valankanni Bar in Madel, behind the Domino’s Pizza shop.
Another rag picker, Sunil Sawant, ( 45) was injured in the attack by the accused. The case was solved by Fatorda Police Station within 12 hours by arresting the accused.
The incident happened midnight at 12.30 on 3rd Feb. The deceased and the injured were having drinks in front of Valankani Bar. The accused Arjun s/o Maruti Kajidoni arrived on the scene, by which time the bar was closed. He started demanding drinks from Bhim, one of the deceased. When Bhim refused to part with his drink, there were altercations which resulted in a fight. Arjun attacked all the three and smashed Bhim on his head with a laterite stone and assaulted Ravi and Sunil Sawant with broken bottles which led to the instant death of Bhim and Ravi.
Sunil Sawant a sustained grievous injury on his face and remained lying on the spot in bleeding. Later, he was shifted to Hospicio Hospital, Margao by Fatorda Police and is reportedly out of danger.
The Fatorda Police Station received information that two male dead bodies and one injured person are lying in front of Valankani Bar in Blessings Pioneer complex, Fatorda near SGPDA market at 9 am in the morning.
A case vide Cr. No. 10/2020 u/s 302, 307 IPC was registered at Fatorda
Police Station.
The investigation of the case was taken up under the leadership of Serafin Dias SDPO Margao, and his team comprising of Pls Kapil Nayak, Melson Colaco, Ravindra Dessai, PSI’s Anant
Gaonkar Prashal Dessai, Amin Naik. LPSI Sumedha Naik, HC’s Narendra
Salgaonkar, Sanjay Dessai, PCs Avinash Naik, Goraknath Gawas, Bablu Zore, Sudhir Talekar, Nagraj Bandekar and Rohan Naik.
After examination of the locals and information the deceased was arrested.
The team observed a person minutely observing the proceedings by police at the scene of crime. On suspicion he was picked-up by Police who on interrogation identified himself to be the accused who later admitted to have committed the double murder and the attempt to murder, over the fight for drinks.
Shri Jaspal Singh, IGP Goa has announced a reward of Rs. 25,000/- to the whole team for solving the sensational double murder case, irecord time.
