PANJIM: Riding on a strokeful knock by skipper Ketan Nandrekar, Mustifund High School, Cujira scored a thumping win to march ahead in the U-16 Dilip Sardesai Trophy Cricket tournament, organised by Goa Cricket Association, at Campal ground, on Saturday.
Mustifund scored a scintillating 171-run victory Dona Leonor Memorial High School.
Electing to bat first Mustifund put a strong score of 218 for 10 in 32.2 overs.
Skipper Ketan Nandrekar scored 89 of 67 balls, which was studded with sixteen hits to the fence.
Deeshank Kunkalikar (39) and Soham Parrikar (29) also contributed to Mushtifund total.
For Dona Leonor, Ronit Shirodkar, Sachin Bhaagt picked three wickets each, Colbert Fernandes picked two while Gaurav Vaishnav and Sayog Naik accounted for one each.
Chasing a mammoth total to win, Dona Leonor could manage just 47 all out in 16 overs.
Sarvesh Gurav was the only batsman to reach double figures with 15.
Lakmesh Pawane (3), Sadanand Nagvekar (2), Soham Parrikar (2) and Aryan Mashelkar picked wickets for Mushtifund.
