PANJIM: BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade, reacting to the resignation of Michael Lobo, said that he left the party only because he was refused two tickets- one for his wife- for the election. He also said that Lobo had exited from the party much before.
In his tweets, Tanavade said that the party was fully aware of the possibility of MLAs resigning and hence already had alternate plan in place.
“All these resignations are due to personal reasons where they are either unlikely to get the ticket or are greedy for more than one ticket in the family,” he tweeted.
“BJP was fully aware of this possibility and has an alternate plan in place. Come February 2022, with the blessings of the people of Goa, BJP will form the government on its own with 22 plus seats,” he tweeted further.
