PANJIM: Goa’s Sri Lankan chief cricket coach Nuwan Zoysa while congratulating the team for registering historic back-to-back victories in their Ranji outing at Guwahati, Assam, said that confident Goa played for a win.
“We had won the toss and I asked the boys to go all out and be themselves. They did well in the opening session and the word went out to post a strong score,” a happy Zoysa disclosed, adding that the boys played to their potential.
“I am confident the boys will further improve their performance in the next home three matches as their confidence is on a high. The boys worked to a plan and are committed to maintain the momentum,” Zoysa informed and declared that the two victories came in time as a major boost to the boys morale.
“I hope Goans will come out in strength to support the team at GCA Porvorim ground from December 14 to 17 against Hyderabad,” he appealed.
