VASCO: After maintaining that the matter was subjudice, the Sancoale village panchayat has now adopted a resolution to seek technical opinion from the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department and the Mormugao Planning and Development Authority (MPDA) regarding the development permissions and the construction licence issued to M/s Parmesh Construction Company Limited or Bhutani Infra project at Savorfond, Sancoale.

Officiating Sancoale panchayat secretary Orville C Vales in letters to the TCP chief town planner and the MPDA, has mentioned about the development permission issued to the Bhutani Infra by the MPDA and the construction licence issued by the Sancoale village panchayat.
The development licence was issued by the MPDA on February 2, 2024 while, the panchayat issued the construction licence on March 11 this year.
The panchayat during its special body meeting on November 12, passed a resolution to consult the TCP Department for a technical review of the permissions and licences granted to M/s Parmesh Construction Company Limited.
“In terms of the resolution adopted at the special meeting of Sancoale Panchayat on November 12, 2024, this Panchayat has resolved that the technical opinion of your department should be obtained in respect of the development permission issued by MPDA and the construction licence issued by the Sancoale Village Panchayat to M/s Parmesh Construction Company Limited,” reads the letter from panchayat secretary Orville C Vales.
The letter further states that a true copy of an extract of the meeting minutes of the said resolution has been annexed for perusal of the TCP and the MPDA.
The Sancoale village panchayat is hoping that the technical opinion that from the TCP and MPDA could potentially help in initiating the further action regarding the proposed Bhutani Infra project, which is strongly opposed by the villagers of Sancoale and activists.
