PANJIM: Chief Electoral Officer Kunal, launched a voter awareness song prepared by the South Collectorate in the presence of Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Narayan Sawant, IAS, North Goa Collector North, Ajit Roy and South Goa Collector South Ruchita Katiyal in Panjim on Thursday.
The song on creating voter awareness has been written, composed and sung by Pravin Gawas, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AERO), Salcete with an appeal by the South Goa Collector Katyal and South Goa District Election Officer (DEO) and Additional Collector Sanjit Rodrigues.

The music arrangement was done by Daulat Palyekar and studio courtesy was provided by the Directorate of Art and Culture, Panjim. The song will be launched in video format shortly.
“The Election Commission has been constantly endeavouring to improve the fidelity of electoral rolls with focused efforts for maximization of registration of eligible electors and removing the impurities in the rolls drive,” said CEO Kunal.
As a part of Special Summary Revision Awareness amongst the people, the Office of the CEO including both the District Election Officers and their teams have been conducting various activities to enlighten the citizen about the importance of enrolment in electoral roll and to participate in the election process.
