PORVORIM: Porvorim police nabbed a 33-year-old native of Jodhpur-Rajasthan red handed while allegedly betting
on the ongoing Champions League T-20 Cricket match in a hotel at Porvorim on Sunday night.
According to police, a police team acted on a tip-off and caught red-handed Lakhpatraj Jain while allegedly betting on the ongoing Champions League T-20 Cricket Match between Rajasthan Royals and Perth Scorchers over his mobile phones and laptop in the hotel at Porvorim.
Police have recovered eight mobile phones, one laptop, two air-tickets, other betting-related material and cash
of Rs 40,000.
Porvorim Police arrested the accused under Sections 3 & 4 of GDD PG Act 1976. The accused has been arrested and is in police custody. Porvorim police is investigating the case.
