CURTORIM: Cumborda beat Fondegal 5-3 in the penalty shoot-out to enter the finals of the 2nd Curtorim Inter-ward Football Tournamnt, organised by Cumborda Sports Club, at Curtorim Church ground, on Thursday.
Cumborda keeper Johnson Bhogot was at his best but his best save of the game was his diving save to deny Caetano’s long range shot. Despite playing end-to-end football, there was no score in the regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Welson, Myron, Mackson, Mackvil and Valzinho scored for Cumborda while Joven, Caetano and Mario netted for Fondegal. Joven Dias was awarded the man of the match award.
