MAPUSA: Calangute police have placed under arrest one Nitin Gadekar (37), resident of Sautawaddo, Calangute in a murder case.

According to Calangute Police Station Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo, a murder case was registered at the police station against the accused wherein he assaulted his former wife and her uncle with fist blows and kicks.
According to police, the accused person assaulted his wife’s uncle by banging his head several times on the concrete slab of drainage resulting he sustaining severe head injury and succumbed to injuries on the way to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim. The body of deceased person identified as Joseph Fernandes (57), resident of Khobrawaddo, Calangute has been referred for post mortem at GMC.
