CURTORIM: Fondegal blanked Pidadigal 3-0 and moved into the semi-finals of the 2nd Curtorim inter-ward 9-a-side football tournament organised by Cumborda Sports Club of Curtorim, at Curtorim ground, on Monday.
Fondegal started the match with attacking flair and in the third minute, Eleeward’s nice shot hit the Pidadigal upright pole and went out of play.
Two minutes later, Fondegal’s Benvisco superb half volley was saved by the Pidadigal goalkeeper.
The half time score was goalless.
Fondegal’s Josley opened his account in the 27th minute with his fine clinical finish.
Within two minutes, Myron scored from spot making made it to 2-0 in favour of Fondegal.
Later in the 31st minute, Josley scored his brace giving 3-0 lead for Fondegal. Pidadegal tried hard to reduce the lead.
Minutes later, Pidadegal’s Nevil’s long range powerful shot was saved by the Fondegal goalkeeper.Man of the match: Nevil from Pidadegal.
