VASCO: Dabolim Airport Director on Friday urged the taxi operators to use the pay parking facility available at the airport premises by paying nominal parking fees.
Interacting with the media persons, Dabolim International Airport Director Gagan Malik said that most of the time people complain about parking issues at the airport but the matter of fact is that there is pay parking facility available at the airport which most of the taxi operators don’t use.

“Taxi operators want parking at the airport free, which is not possible. Some nominal parking fee has to be paid by the taxi operators,” said Malik.
Malik also said that he has observed that many taxi operators for their benefit park their vehicles across the highway and even ask passengers to cross the highway to get taxi fare, which could be dangerous. Efforts are on to get clearances and to make more pay parking space but the question is whether the taxi operators will avail this facility by paying parking fees or not.
