A central figure in the Royals’ setup for many years, Dravid’s leadership has been widely praised for instilling discipline and values across the squad. The team, which won the inaugural IPL in 2008, said he had left an “indelible impact” on its culture.

Dravid’s journey with the Royals began in 2011 as a player and captain, continued as a mentor between 2013 and 2015, and culminated with a return as head coach this season. His stint ended with the side falling short of the playoffs.
