CURCHOREM: Panchwadi United Sports Club defeated Davorlim SC 2-1 in inaugural match of Immaculate Conception football tournament organized by Immaculate Conception Sports Club at the Avedem Panchayat ground, Paroda on Sunday.
After barren half Davorlim opened an account in the 38 minute through the powerful shot from the striker Venson Figueredo.
Stung by the setback Panchwadi regrouped themselves and succeeded to level the score in the 42 minute through Gladson Antao. But their joy was short lived when Davorlim took the lead when Glen Colaco chipped the ball over the rival goalkeeper.
Earlier former Zilla Parishad (ZP) member Cliofas Dias inaugurated the tournament in the presence of Vilas Parwatkar, Riston Rodrigues ( Ex National Player) and Joe Fernandes President of ISCS.
