Harvalem: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated a series of development initiatives at Village Panchayat Harvalem and Pale Cotombi, focusing on sanitation, renewable energy and sustainable rural development.
The programme included the launch of the Pink Waste Collection Initiative, under which dedicated pink dustbins will be introduced for the safe disposal of sanitary waste in the village.

Sawant also highlighted the large-scale installation of rooftop solar panels under central and state subsidy schemes, aimed at helping households reduce their electricity bills while encouraging the adoption of renewable energy.
The Chief Minister said Harvalem is emerging as a model net-zero village through the adoption of solar energy, structured waste management and other environmentally sustainable initiatives.
