PANJIM: The students’ wing of Congress party has alleged that government has sidelined the education sector with many grievances not being addressed.
“It is a sorry state of affairs as far as education is concerned. The entire administration has collapsed and education sector has been neglected. Our education minister is not bothered and many grievances are left unattended,” president of National Students Union of India (NSUI) Goa Ahraj Mulla said at a press conference in the capital on Monday.
The leader was citing problems in the Goa University wherein charges for re-evaluation of answer sheets have been increased to Rs 550. He has demanded that government reduce the fees to Rs 250 instead.
Mulla also questioned GU’s wisdom to prepone the GU admission ranking test 2019 to January which was held in June till last year. “There’s nobody to inquiry the problems of the students,” he lamented.
