MARGAO: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has submitted a memorandum to the South Goa Collector demanding a ban on the operations of Sanatan Sanstha and surveillance on the outfit.
Referring to a news report that appeared on a national channel which telecast a sting operation in which two police officers stated that political pressure prevented them from investigating the organisation, Aam Aadmi Party leader Siddharth Karapurkar alleged that Sanatan Sanstha is involved in unlawful activities.
He pointed out that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Gauri Lankesh killing has named the Goa based organization in its charge sheet in the case.
Aam Aadmi Party volunteers also protested outside the South Goa Collectorate holding placards with captions such as ‘Ban Sanatan Sanstha, Save Goa, Save India’.
The protest was part of the Aam Aadmi Party’s foundation day celebration.
Speaking at the celebrations organized in Mhadel in Fatorda, Aam Aadmi Party Goa Convenor Elvis Gomes took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National President Amit Shah.
He said that Shah was in total control of Goa and that exposed the lies of Goemkarponn Sarkar.
“Even mining dependants are forced to rush to Delhi with the hope of getting their grievances addressed”, he added.
