The feast of Our Lady of Rosary will be celebrated on November 20 at Our Lady of Rosary Church, Navelim.
Fr Arlino De Mello, the Parish priest said, “The feast of Our Lady of Rosary, the patroness of the Church, is the main feast of the Navelim parish and many devotees from the parish and surrounding parishes come in great number to seek God’s blessings and graces through the intercession of Our Lady of Rosary.”
Every year, the feast of Our Lady of Rosary at Navelim is celebrated on the third Wednesday of the month of November. The parish has a population of around 29,000 Catholics including the three chapels. The Church has five resident priests namely Fr Arlino De Mello -Parish priest, Fr Americo Rodrigues, Fr Constancio Carvalho and Fr Myron Jeson Barreto, are the assistants to the parish priest and Fr Aquileo Gomes, is priest on the staff, serving the Church. Three chapels, Mount Carmel Chapel- Telaulim, Our Lady of Rosary Chapel- Zoriwaddo and St Joseph Chapel- Davorlim are part of the Our Lady of Rosary Church, Navelim. The three chapels have resident priests, Fr Eustaquio de Abreu, Fr Domingos Noronha and Fr Anil Kumar serving in these Chapels respectively.
