PONDA: Ponda Police registered an offence against one accused mother-in-law, resident of Silva Nagar Ponda under Section 11(1) (a) of prevention of Cruelty to animal Act 1960.
The daughter-in-law filed this complaint against her mother-in-law, accusing her of beating the cat and causing injuries.

According to the complaint, on January 5, at around 11.52 am, the accused mother-in-law of the complainant, beat up a black coloured cat (Persian breed) of the complainant by smashing its head with some object, thereby causing serious injuries on face and other parts of body and subjected to unnecessary pain and caused cruelty to complainant’s cat.
“Further investigation is in progress,” said Ponda Police.
