Goa University entered the quarter-finals of All-India inter-university football (men) championship at Jabalpur on Wednesday.
The championship is held on a league-cum-knockout basis where 16 top teams from West, North, East and South zone are participating.
In Group ‘A’ Goa University topped the table to enter the quarter-final knock out stage. Punjab University stand second to qualify.
Goa University beat Kerala University 3-9. Jovito Fernandes scored a brace while Tyson netted one. Goa University drew with Kalyani University 0-0. Goa University beat Punjab University 1-0. Mandarrao Dessai scored the winning goal.
