ALDONA: Due to incessant rains and strong winds, a huge Mango tree got uprooted damaging a house and a car at Carona, Aldona, on early Tuesday morning.

In the incident, the four-wheeler parked and a house was partially damaged.
According to the Mapusa Fire Station official, the car loss is estimated to be around Rs 40,000 and the house damage to Rs 20,000.
“When the incident happened I was not at home. My family members were sleeping when the Mango tree fell on the house. The roof tiles fell on them suffering minor injuries. I took them to primary health centre and all are safe now,” said the neighbour.
The fire personnel had a tough time in clearing the Mango tree due to honey comb while the Electricity Department managed to restore power supply immediately.
