CHINCHINIM: Cuncolim Union defeated Navelim Villagers Union 4-1 to move into the semi-finals of the 21st Our Lady of Merces football tournament, organised by Sirlim SC, at Our Lady of Hope Chinchinim ground, on Thursday.
Trijoy Dias opened the account for Cuncolim in the 11th minute. Clifton Fernandes doubled the account for Cuncolim with a powerful volley in the 14th minute.
Jason Martins pulled a goal back for Navelim in the 40th minute before Daulat Dessai made it 3-1 in favour of Cuncolim in the 48th minute. Trejoy made it 4-1 for Cuncolim in the 50th minute.
