Shock in Mapusa Market as Man Electrocuted by Underground Cable

Dangerous electrical mishap occurred in Mapusa market on Monday night when a man was electrocuted after a damaged underground cable leaked current into the water near the Shakuntala statue.

The victim, en route to a shop, received the shock around 8 pm, prompting nearby shopkeepers to contact the electricity department. Officials quickly inspected the area, identified the faulty underground line, and switched off the market’s power supply.
