PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has directed the Additional Director of Panchayats, Panjim to hear and dispose of the appeal within next three months, regarding an illegal construction at Khobrawaddo, Calangute.

On November 6, three illegal structures were demolished following a High Court order in the presence of officials from the Bardez Mamlatdar, Block Development Officer (BDO), Calangute Village Panchayat and Calangute police.
However, one of the respondents Sanjay Diukar approached the Additional Director of Panchayats and obtained a stay. But the High Court has now asked him to cooperate with the Additional Director of Panchayats and not to seek any unnecessary adjournments.
The respondent told the Court that no commercial operations are ongoing in the illegal structure. The writ petition has been filed Egidio Braganza of Mapusa and he was represented by Adv Joel Pinto.
