Mapusa Court Rejects Plea for Intervention in Luthra Brothers’ Bail Application

The Mapusa Additional Sessions Court has rejected a plea filed by the families of victims seeking permission to intervene in the anticipatory bail applications of Gaurav Luthra and Saurabh Luthra. The bail pleas are connected to a case registered by the Mapusa police against the Luthra brothers’ firm, Being GS Hospitality Goa Aprora LLP. The firm is under investigation for allegedly forging documents to obtain an excise licence and cheating authorities. The court declined to allow the intervention, stating that the victims’ families cannot be made parties at this stage of the proceedings. Following the rejection of the plea, the court has postponed further hearing on the anticipatory bail applications to January 20.
