Third Vintage Bike Rally in Chinchinim draws 100 classic motorcycles

The Velim Sports, Cultural & Eco Club recently hosted its third Vintage Bike Rally in Chinchinim, draw ing over 100 classic motor cycles and enthusiasts from across Goa. The event was a vibrant celebration of the region’s motorcycling her itage and community spirit, highlighted by the display of a 1941 motorcycle – the oldest bike on show – which captivated attendees and showcased Goa’s rich biking legacy. The rally was held with the support of the local Velim MLA Cruz Silva and coordinated by Blassco Moraes, ensuring a smooth execution and enthusiastic turnout. Riders and specta tors alike enjoyed a lively at mosphere filled with nostal gia and camaraderie as the vintage machines roared to life throughout the day. To recognise the pas sion and dedication of the participants, the organ isers presented prizes in multiple categories. These awards added an element of excitement to the day and encouraged broader involvement from the vin tage biking community. Having grown into a sig nature annual event, the Vintage Bike Rally contin ues to strengthen commu nity bonds while preserving the charm of classic motor cycles. Organisers noted that the rally’s success over the years has helped keep Goa’s two-wheeler heritage alive, making it a much-an ticipated occasion on the local events calendar.
