On two wheels and driven by purpose, Mohit Shekhawat is cycling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to raise awareness about cancer and its growing impact on Indian society. Starting from Srinagar’s Lal Chowk, Mohit aims to complete his nationwide journey in about two months.
During his journey, Mohit spoke about the rising number of cancer patients in India, estimating that nearly two crore people are currently undergoing treatment. He expressed concern over excessive chemical farming practices and substance abuse, which he believes have contributed to serious health issues in several regions.
Currently in Surat, Mohit shared how strangers have opened their homes and hearts to him, offering food, shelter, and support. Touched by the kindness, he plans to stay in the city for two days before continuing south, carrying with him a message that India’s North and South are united by compassion.
