PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi hosted BCB chairman Aminul Islam along with ICC deputy chairman Imran Khwaja. The discussions focused largely on Pakistan’s government stance of refusing to play against India, especially after Bangladesh’s exit from the tournament created further complications.

Meanwhile, reports suggest the PCB has placed three major demands on the table: increased compensation for the Bangladesh Cricket Board, participation fees for Bangladesh despite their removal from the World Cup, and hosting rights for a future ICC event.
A breakthrough is expected soon, with PCB likely to reconnect with ICC and BCB officials again today.
