Goa to merge all ambulance services under 108, fleet to expand

Goa’s Health Minister Vishwajit Rane announced that all ambulance services in the state will soon be integrated under the 108 emergency response system to ensure faster and more coordinated medical assistance. Speaking to the media after a review meeting on health and welfare infrastructure, the minister said the move is aimed at strengthening emergency healthcare delivery and reducing response time during critical situations. He also confirmed that the number of ambulances operating across Goa will be increased to meet growing demand and improve accessibility, especially in remote and high-tourist areas where timely medical transport remains essential for saving lives.
