Ugandan Woman Arrested in Mandrem for Allegedly Staying in India Without Valid Passport, Visa

Police in Mandrem arrested a woman from Uganda for allegedly residing in India without valid travel documents, including a passport and visa.

The accused has been identified as Bangi Agnes Nambalirwa. According to police, during verification and questioning, she failed to produce any valid documents authorising her stay in the country.

Following the inquiry, Mandrem Police registered a case against the accused under relevant provisions of the Foreigners Act and took her into custody for further investigation.

Police officials said further procedures will be initiated in coordination with immigration authorities, and appropriate legal action will be taken as per law. Authorities have reiterated that checks are being intensified to identify and act against illegal stay to ensure law and order and national security.
