Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired a high-level review meeting to assess 131 proposals submitted under the Goa Gram Samruddhi Yojana (GGSY).
During the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that priority would be given to works recommended by MLAs from all 40 Assembly constituencies to ensure that at least one project is executed in every constituency. He emphasized that balanced development across the state remains a key objective of the government.
Sawant also announced that additional financial support would be provided over and above the existing ₹20 crore allocation for the scheme in the upcoming financial year. The move, he said, is aimed at accelerating grassroots development and addressing local infrastructure needs more effectively.
Officials were directed to expedite the scrutiny process so that approved projects can be implemented without delay.
