Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced that the Uttar Pradesh government has secured investment proposals worth Rs 19,877 crore from Singapore-based firms for industrial and digital infrastructure projects.
According to an official statement, the proposed investments are expected to generate over 20,000 employment opportunities while strengthening the state’s industrial and urban ecosystem. Adityanath is currently on a four-day visit to Singapore and Japan beginning February 23, aimed at attracting global investors.
On the first day of his Singapore visit, multiple agreements were signed. Universal Success Group committed Rs 6,650 crore towards group housing, logistics parks and data centre projects. Golden State Capital (GSC) proposed an investment of Rs 8,000 crore to establish a 100-megawatt data centre in Uttar Pradesh, a move seen as a key step in positioning the state as a major data hub.
Further, the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG) pledged Rs 2,500 crore for renewable energy, green hydrogen and agri-solar initiatives, while AVPN Limited committed Rs 2,727 crore in similar green energy sectors.
In addition, a cooperation pact was signed with ITE Education Services (ITEES) to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) through consultancy, infrastructure upgrades and capacity building.
During the visit, the chief minister is also scheduled to meet representatives of major global firms to promote Uttar Pradesh as a manufacturing hub and explore partnerships in data centres, renewable energy, agribusiness and automobiles.
