Things are clearly not fine in the Middle East. The region saw a sharp spike in tensions after explosions were reported in Abu Dhabi and a missile was intercepted over Qatar, just hours after joint strikes by Israel and the United States on Iran.
In the UAE capital, blasts triggered security alerts, though it remains unclear whether US-linked facilities were directly hit. Abu Dhabi houses the key Al Dhafra Air Base, operated jointly by Emirati and American forces.

In Doha, air defence systems intercepted a projectile near Al Udeid Air Base, the forward headquarters of US Central Command.
Further escalation followed after Bahrain reported a missile strike targeting the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters in Manama, which oversees operations across the Gulf and adjoining waters.
Officials are yet to confirm damage or casualties as uncertainty grips the region.
