The newly formed Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), led by former rapper-turned-politician Balendra Shah, has emerged as the early frontrunner in Nepal’s 2026 parliamentary elections, leading in 94 constituencies as vote counting continues across the country.
According to early trends, the Nepali Congress has secured one seat so far and is ahead in 10 constituencies, while the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) is leading in seven seats. Candidates from the Nepali Communist Party are ahead in nine constituencies, reports said.
