Report LPG black marketing to taluka officers: Civil Supplies Dept

In a bid to crack down on black market ing and hoarding, the De partment of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has urged citizens to report any irregularities regard ing LPG cylinder distri bution to their respective taluka-level officers. In a press release issued by the department, resi dents have been advised to approach Assistant Di rectors of Civ il Supplies in their respec tive talukas to register complaints regarding irregulari ties in the supply and distribution of Gas. Liquefied Petroleum Director of Civil Supplies Jayant Tari stated that citi zens can directly contact the designated officers using the phone numbers and email addresses pro vided by the department for prompt action. According to the notifi cation, officers have been assigned across all talukas in Goa, including Pernem, Bardez, Tiswadi, Bicholim, Sattari, Ponda, Dharban dora, Salcete, Mormugao, Sanguem, Quepem and Canacona, to handle com plaints related to LPG sup ply issues.

The department said the initiative aims to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and ensure fair distribution of LPG cylinders while preventing illegal practices such as hoarding and black marketing. Citizens have been encouraged to promptly report any irregularities so that the authorities can take timely en forcement action.
