Civil Supplies conducts surprise LPG checks across Bicholim establishments

Authorities carried out surprise inspections of LPG usage at several establishments in Bicholim to prevent diversion of domestic cylinders and ensure supply for eligible households. The inspections were conducted by the Civil Supplies Department.

Raunak Kamat, Assistant Director of Civil Supplies (ADCS) Bicholim, along with the Civil Supplies inspector, visited five major chain hotels and restaurants in the taluka. During the checks, officials verified LPG usage and examined records maintained by the establishments.

According to officials, no violations were found during the inspection. The team confirmed that the establishments were following the required norms regarding LPG usage.

Officials also observed that some businesses have started shifting to electric kitchen equipment, reducing their dependence on LPG cylinders. Authorities said such inspections will continue in the future to ensure compliance and to safeguard the availability of domestic LPG cylinders for regular consumers.
