Residents of Palaskatta in Sanvordem have once again intensified their protest against Parsekar Foods, citing severe inconvenience caused by a persistent foul smell from the factory.
Villagers allege that the situation has worsened significantly, with the odor affecting their daily lives to the extent that children are unable to eat properly. Despite repeated complaints, residents claim that no concrete action has been taken by authorities to resolve the issue.
The agitation had been temporarily called off a few days ago following assurances from local MLA Ganesh Gaonkar ahead of the Assembly session. However, with no visible progress since then, villagers say they feel let down by the lack of follow-up action.
Frustrated by continued inaction, the community has now resumed its protest and has begun sitting on the factory access road. Protesters have made it clear that the agitation will continue until the factory is relocated from the village.
The renewed stir highlights growing tensions in the area, with residents demanding urgent intervention from the authorities to address their concerns.
