SOGAC Calls for Protest and Police Complaint Over Remarks on St. Francis Xavier in Old Goa

The Save Old Goa Action Committee (SOGAC) has strongly condemned the alleged insulting and offensive remarks made against Saint Francis Xavier, popularly revered as “Goencho Saib.”

In a public appeal, the group has urged citizens to gather on April 21 at 4:00 PM near the front gate of the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa to file a written complaint against Gautam Khattar.

The programme will begin with a short prayer, followed by a march to the Old Goa Police Station, where participants will formally submit their complaint.

SOGAC has called on the public to come together in solidarity, urging people to stand united in expressing respect and devotion towards St. Francis Xavier while upholding communal harmony.
