The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has filed a complaint with Delhi Police after its Post-Result Services Portal was targeted by a series of cyber attacks during the ongoing Class 10 and Class 12 re-evaluation process.
According to the board, all attempts to breach the system were successfully blocked through continuous monitoring and cybersecurity safeguards. CBSE stressed that no student information was compromised and there was no breach of its digital infrastructure.

The attacks occurred as thousands of students accessed the portal to apply for verification of marks, photocopies of answer sheets and re-evaluation services. Officials said the platform witnessed an unprecedented surge in traffic, recording nearly 1.5 million hits within two minutes. More than one lakh unauthorised attempts to access files were also detected and prevented.
In another incident, CBSE said it blocked approximately 3.8 million malicious data packets that were allegedly aimed at disrupting portal operations. Despite these attempts, the platform remained functional and continued processing student applications.
As of June 4, over 70,000 students had successfully submitted requests through the portal. CBSE has now sought a formal investigation to identify those responsible and determine the motive behind the attacks.
