Goa Registers Fastest Growth in Engineering Exports in Western India with 36% Rise in FY26: CM Pramod Sawant

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has announced that Goa recorded the fastest growth in engineering exports among the states in western India, registering an impressive 36 per cent increase during the financial year 2025-26.

Speaking at the EEPC India 42nd Export Awards for the Western Region, the Chief Minister highlighted Goa’s expanding capabilities in manufacturing and export-oriented industries, attributing the achievement to the collective efforts of the state’s industrial sector.

Dr. Sawant said the significant growth underscores Goa’s emergence as a key destination for engineering manufacturing and exports, further strengthening its position in the national industrial landscape.

He also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly ecosystem by implementing policies that encourage investment, innovation, and industrial expansion. According to the Chief Minister, continued support for the manufacturing sector will play a vital role in driving economic growth and enhancing Goa’s competitiveness in global markets.

The remarks were made during the EEPC India awards ceremony, which recognises excellence and outstanding performance in engineering exports across the western region of the country.
