An allegedly drunk driver nearly collided with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s convoy at Amona before the vehicle was avoided, preventing a mishap. Bicholim police have arrested four persons in connection with the incident.
An alleged drunk driving incident nearly resulted in a collision with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s convoy at Amona, with the convoy reportedly managing to evade the oncoming vehicle and avert a potential mishap.
According to initial reports, the vehicle driven by the accused came dangerously close to the Chief Minister’s convoy. The alertness of the convoy personnel and timely manoeuvring reportedly prevented an accident.
Following the incident, the Bicholim police launched an investigation and arrested four persons in connection with the case. The identities of the accused and the exact circumstances leading to the incident have not yet been officially disclosed.
