The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has suspended senior leader Manisha Usgaonkar and party social media coordinator Shamila Siddiqui over alleged indiscipline, triggering fresh political buzz within the party.
The decision was reportedly taken during a party meeting where discussions centred on internal discipline and social media posts said to be targeting the Congress leadership.State Congress president Amarnath Panjikar said an inquiry is currently underway and both leaders have been given an opportunity to present their side before any final decision is taken.
The development comes amid growing discussions over internal differences within the Goa Congress unit. While party leaders maintain the action is aimed at preserving discipline, the suspensions have sparked speculation about widening cracks within the organisation ahead of key political battles in the state.
