Goa Cabinet Approves Anywhere Registration System to Simplify Property Registration Across Districts

In a major step towards streamlining property registration services, the Goa Cabinet has approved the implementation of the “Anywhere Registration” system, allowing citizens to register property documents at any sub-registrar office within the district where the property is situated.

Under the new system, property owners will no longer be required to visit a specific sub-registrar office based on the location of their property. Instead, they can complete the registration process at any sub-registrar office within the same district, significantly improving convenience and reducing delays.

The initiative will be implemented across North Goa, South Goa and the newly formed Kushawati district, making the registration process more accessible and citizen-friendly.

The government expects the reform to ease the workload at busy registration offices, improve service delivery, and provide greater flexibility to the public. The decision is also part of the state’s broader efforts to modernise land administration and enhance the ease of doing business by making property transactions quicker and more efficient.
