Goa: Residents of Karapur-Sarvan have urged Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai to raise concerns over the proposed House of Abhinandan Lodha mega housing project during the upcoming Goa Assembly Session.
In a letter to Sardesai, the villagers said their peaceful protest against the project will complete 150 days on September 1. They have sought his intervention to stop further construction until all legal and environmental permissions related to the project are verified.

The residents have raised concerns over the project’s potential impact on water resources, groundwater recharge, sewage management, traffic, hill cutting and the carrying capacity of the area.
They have also urged Sardesai to press the government to conduct a comprehensive multi-departmental inspection of the project and make its findings public.
The agitation against the proposed project has continued for several months, with residents demanding greater scrutiny of the development and the approvals granted for it.
