Supreme Court to Hear Tarun Tejpal’s Surrender Exemption Plea on Tuesday

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has listed Tarun Tejpal’s application seeking exemption from surrender for hearing on Tuesday.

During Monday’s proceedings, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the State of Goa, strongly opposed Tejpal’s application.

Despite the opposition, the court listed the matter for Tuesday and permitted Tejpal’s counsel, Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, to argue the plea seeking exemption from surrender.

The matter will now come up for further hearing on Tuesday.
